The Evinrude facility in Spruce Pine, North Carolina is a full-service lost foam plant which uses innovative processes to create aluminum castings from polystyrene bead.

The Lean/Continuous Improvement Coordinator will primarily focus on the designing and execution of continuous improvement plans to focus on operational efficiency while maintaining employee engagement, quality standards, and schedule linearity. The position will collaborate with facility leaders in the development of operational strategies and implementation of strategic projects.
Coordinate continuous improvement processes and events within cross-functional teams
Develop and coordinate material flow improvements while implementing standardized work and line balancing to improve efficiency of process constraints
Coordinate all activities for 5S, Visual Manufacturing, Standardized Work, Kaizen, SMED and material flow with the intent to improve throughput, reduce lead time, reduce inventories, reduce cost and improve quality
Deliver strategies to make the workplace better for employees while streamlining production for efficient growth
Develop and implement an effective strategy for communicating the status of results and improvements to BRP Spruce Pine staff and business partners
Perform root cause analyses and present solutions for issue resolution
Utilize 8D process for solving problems
Promoting and supporting a culture of process improvement through the use of lean processes and tools across Evinrude partners and stakeholders
Institute and guide effective value chain planning processes
Three to five years of progressively-responsible manufacturing experience
Business-related Bachelor's degree
Lean manufacturing and/or process efficiency knowledge
Experience using statistical analyses
Adept with Microsoft business systems including Office Suite
Able to learn business-centric and/or proprietary computer systems and applications easily
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
Self-starting and self-motivated
Six Sigma certification preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
